Open in Google MapsThis city is home to some of the most unique retailers. With a ton of vintage shops, small boutiques, book stores and cute flower/coffee shops you will not be at a shortage for things to buy. Stroll the streets and be sure to check out the original Pigment boutique. It is so cute and has a variety of items from jewelry to plants, home goods and baby gifts. And a favorite of ours, Artelexia. Think Mexican mixed with boho, lots of bright colored items that can be a unique gift for anyone.
The most hipster town must have trendy watering holes. And North Park does not disappoint. Craft breweries and gastropubs line the streets along with a fun local bar scene, for those not into the barley buzz. North Park has been central in the role of San Diego's emergence into the craft beer scene and has definitely helped put this city back on the map.
Check out Bar Pink known for live music and a fun atmosphere. The North Park Observatory (has nothing to do with astronomy) is always a good place to catch the show and check out its recent renovation. The city also hosts an annual music show, creatively named, The North Park Music Thing.
For wellness options there is no shortage of activities, from yoga or pilates at a popular studio, or check out the handful of outdoor gyms the city has to offer. Heck maybe you’re wanting to make some new friends and join a pickup basketball game. If you want to get creative, book a ceramics class or get some old school skills and take a sewing class from a master seamstress.
The only hotel in North Park, La Fayette, is a chic hotel that has recently been renovated. Each room is decorated with different textures, fabrics, bright colors and more. It features gorgeous restaurants and bars with culinary dishes to make your tastebuds dance and carefully crafted cocktails. Guests and day passers alike can enjoy its stunning pool. Soak it all up.
Head outdoors and take in the sights, sounds and smells of this cool town.
