Ocean Beach Pier
The OB pier is one of the longest concrete piers on the West Coast. It used to offer fishing, walking and picturesque views of the coastline. Unfortunately, the pier is temporarily closed at the moment as a result of damages caused by high/rough surf. However, the OB pier is one of the longest concrete piers on the West Coast. Hopefully, it will be repaired and opened back up for visitors to enjoy.
Ocean Beach, beach
This laid back beach town has a large sandy shoreline for everyone to enjoy. With OB being a prime surf spot its main beach is great for surfers, sunbathers, paddleboarding or kayaking. There is also a designated section just north, specifically for your furry friends.
Sunset Cliffs Natural Park
The cliffs are a popular spot for locals and is a must see if you’re visiting the area. This natural park includes cliffs that collapse into the ocean. Natural arches, and caves that are ideal for photo ops. It is the perfect location for a walk, picnic or to take in the sunset.
Robb Field Skate Park
OB offers a wide variety of activities and the skate park is one sure to please skateboarders of all ages and skill levels.
Farmers Market
The weekly local market occurs every Thursday evening on the main street, Newport. You can’t miss this street as it will be bustling with town folk and lined with vendors offering fresh produce, local crafts, live music and a great community vibe. Be sure to check it out.
Yoga on the Beach
Fitness is not far from a stone throw in this town. You will find a handful of mindful yoga practices in this hippy dippy zip code. Or join one of the local groups that offer yoga sessions on the beach, combining exercise with the soothing sounds of the ocean. When in Cali…YOLO!
